Social Media Marketing
During my time at Atlantic Acting School, I increased the organization’s presence and engagement on social media platforms resulting in a 30% increase in Twitter followers, 46% increase in Facebook likes, 154% increase in Instagram followers, and 46% increase in YouTube views within a year.
Content Creation & Editing
From 2011-2013, I wrote and edited my own blog covering dance events and classes in the DC area. I also contributed regularly to local online news site Borderstan.com, Business Wire’s corporate blog BusinessWired and Joy of Motion Dance Center’s Dance is for Everyone blog.
Project Management & Website Redesign
I project managed the website redesign of joyofmotion.org and played an integral role in the launch of the new signaturetheatre.org. Responsibilities included working with outside consultants, populating content and testing the functionality of forms and other features.
During my time at Joy of Motion Dance Center, I developed relationships with journalists to raise awareness of the organization’s dance education programs. These efforts resulted in coverage in The Washington Post and NewsChannel8 among others.
I gained valuable photography and graphic design skills during my time at Joy of Motion Dance Center and Atlantic Acting School. The organizations saved more than $10K in fees as a result of having me on board. Select photos are featured on this page.
Speaking & Teaching
During my time at Business Wire, I moderated media panel events featuring journalists from The Washington Post and The Hill. I’ve also been a speaker at the Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership – National Capital Area Seminar, as well as a social media guest teacher at Karen Kohlhaas’ Monologue Audition class.
